On June 20th, LaB is sponsoring a fundraising dance to help support seven members of our community who are on their way to Herrang Dance Camp this summer. Herrang is a month-long international swing dance camp held every year outside of Stockholm, Sweden. The seven LaB attendees who have pledged to go to Herrang are mostly college students, so they’re broke. They’re all very enthusiastic and committed dancers, teachers, and organizers, so we are planning this event to support their passion for dance!

Our aim on June 20th is to have a crazy celebration to raise some money for our poor, dance-addicted friends. Funds raised at the event will be split evenly among the seven dancers to offset the costs of their airfare to Sweden. The ‘Herrang or Bust’ dance will include classes, a Jack and Jill competition, a private lesson auction, and more! We expect to see lots of familiar faces, as well as some surprise guests from all over the region.
