We at LAB have finally conspired to bring you the workshop of your dreams. Skye Humphries (Ithaca/DC) and Frida Segerdahl (Stockholm, Sweden) are two of the best and most accomplished Lindy Hoppers alive today. If you don’t believe us, watch this:
Lucky for us, they’re also internationally hailed teachers. They’ll be in Philly for two full days, teaching one day of intermediate Lindy and one day of intermediate/advanced Lindy. Details and registration will up 2/6/09.
Class level will range from Intermediate (Saturday) to Intermediate/Advanced (Sunday). All students must be familiar and comfortable with eight-count Lindy Hop fundamentals and basic vocabulary (including the swingout, the Lindy circle, and some moves and variations). If you attend this event without said vocabulary, LaB reserves the right to refund your registration fees and request your withdrawal from classes.
If you’re not sure of your level, please email or talk to a LaBTech before registering for this event. We will be offering classes and private lessons throughout February and March to help you prepare!
On Saturday, March 21st, our evening dance will be graced by the Cangelosi Cards, a New York City gypsy jazz band, featuring Gordon Webster on keys.
